How the assessment works
The Planaletix Construction Site Digitalisation Maturity Assessment (CSD) evaluates the digital site across ten dimensions: the field-technology strategy and standard site stack, field data capture and mobile applications, reality capture and progress monitoring, IoT, sensors and equipment telematics, site connectivity and infrastructure, digital HSE and workforce management, the prefabrication and DfMA digital thread, robotics and advanced site technology, as-built capture and handover from site, and the site digital capability and adoption that decide whether any of it works. It measures one thing above all: whether site reality reaches the systems that plan, pay and hand over — while it still matters.
Every site technology fails the same way: bought at head office, bypassed at the workface. The CSD measures the digital site as the field actually runs it — app usage, capture cadence, permits raised, as-builts accumulating during the works — because a foreman's workaround tells the truth that a procurement list cannot.

Frequently asked questions
We already use field apps — do we need this?
Apps on projects and a governed site capability are different things. The assessment measures whether the stack is standard and funded, whether adoption shows in usage data, whether capture verifies progress, and whether site data reaches the systems that pay and hand over — the difference between owning tools and running a digital site.
We are a developer — most of this is our contractors' job.
Select "Developer" at the start and the assessment scopes to the six dimensions a developer owns: the site-technology requirements you set, the field apps your supervision teams use, the progress evidence you commission, the HSE regime you audit, the as-builts you receive, and your teams' adoption.
Why does the strategy gate the whole result?
Because every site technology decays without it. A capture programme that lapses between projects, apps that change with each project manager, permits that revert to paper — these are strategy failures wearing technology costumes.
Who should answer the questions?
The person accountable for site operations or site technology — typically the Operations Director or a senior Project Director — ideally after consulting HSE, planning and at least one site team. Answers save automatically.
How long does it take?
75–90 minutes for the full 10 dimensions; less where firm-type scoping reduces the set. It can be completed over several sessions.
